About Shelley
The OT who was that ADHD kid.
Hi! I'm Shelley
I have been an OT for over a decade, workingĀ alongside teachers in primary and high schools, so when we talk about classrooms, I'm talking about rooms I've actually worked in. I'm a mum, so the 7pm homework standoff and chaotic morning juggle is not theoretical to me. And I grew up with ADHD: the kid who felt too much or not enough, who worked twice as hard to look like she was keeping up.
I don't just understand the research. I've lived it, and I built this practice so families could get the understanding earlier than I did.
Over the years I have worked with thousands of families, in Australia and internationally, including the UK and Canada, and hundreds of families currently use my courses and tools to build skills at home.
We're not expecting perfect.
Not from your child, and not from you. There will still be lost hats, forgotten homework and big afternoon feelings. That is not failure; that is a nervous system doing its best in a world still catching up. Our job is to spot the gaps early, celebrate what's already strong, build the right support around them, and stay connected through the wobbly bits. That's what being a team means to us here.
